National Youth Gathering

2013 National Youth Gathering
July 1-5, 2013, San Antonio, TX.

The LCMS Youth Ministry Office is excited to announce the theme for the 2013 National LCMS Youth Gathering to be held July 1-5 in San Antonio. "Live Love(d)" is the theme based on I John 4:9. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. (NIV) The theme will provide the thematic and theological focus for the 2013 Gathering program. Resources will be created in the coming months around the theme and I John and will be made available on the Gathering Web site (www.lcmsgathering.com ). This will include:

* The theological paper
* Bible Studies
* Community Life resources
* And others

The Web site is also the location for additional updates and information about the Gathering. Information and registration updates will begin in spring 2011.

2010 National Youth Gathering

The 2010 National LCMS Youth Gathering had 522 English District youth and adults participate from coast to coast in our district under the theme “We Believe”. Over 300 district youth participated in the 2010 ED Youth Event immediately following the conclusion of the NYG at the Mid-City Rock – N-Bowl on July 21. District youth and adults enjoyed music, dancing, bowling, English District youth dance at the Rock -n- Bowl.great food, and Christian fellowship.

National Youth Gathering Fundraisers are Underway

The Youth Group of Concordia Lutheran Church, Berwyn, IL, one of many doing a fundraiser to attend the 2010 LCMS National Youth Gathering, prepares made-to-order submarine sandwiches as an annual fundraiser on Super Bowl Sunday. This year’s proceeds will help members attend the National LCMS Youth Gathering in New Orleans, Louisiana on July 17-21, 2010. Its theme “We Believe” will be developed through a variety of unique “Look,” “Listen,” and “Live” experiences in which youth and adults boldly come together in the name of Jesus Christ to proclaim, celebrate, and witness their salvation through Him; rejoice in the fellowship of their church; and be affirmed and nurtured in their lives as God's people through Word and Sacrament.
