God is Holding My Hand No Matter Where I Go

Bible verse: Psalm 139

Psalm 139 is one of my favorites. God has used this chapter of the Bible to encourage me many times. One of the best verses for me is verse 9 “If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost part of the sea, even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me.”

It is so comforting to know that no matter where I am on this earth – or flying in the sky – God’s hand will lead and guide me and protect me.

And you know what? I have found this to be true. When I have traveled to various places in our world, even though everything else seemed strange to me, I still experienced God directing my steps. The culture, language, food and most other things can be foreign to me – but God stays the same!

I also remember going in for surgery and feeling a bit frightened that no friend or family member could go into the operating room with me. But God could! His right hand was right there holding me tightly, even though my husband or other family member was not there.

What a comfort to know that our God is constantly with us, thinking about us, protecting us and guiding us.

Dear Lord, thank you for your constant care and guidance. May I relax today, knowing that you are holding me close to you. And when you’re with me, I’m safe!
